What's Happening at The Foundry

Spring has SPRUNG and The Foundry is continuing to slowly reopen our doors. (Hurrah!)

Volunteer Days: It is time. Our fence needs a whole lotta love.

We're looking for a few good people to help us with a multi-weekend project of tearing down and rebuilding a new fence around The Foundry property.

We will be working outside to remove the old fence posts, mix & pour concrete for the new posts, and install the new posts and fence sections. For those interested in helping, but can't do heavy lifting - we will also be doing a general parking lot clean up removing weeds, shrubbery etc. There's something for all age and skill levels.

Community Classes:

We are offering limited in-person community classes and workshops starting in May 2021. Click here for our current class schedule.

Classes will be held outdoors or in our shops with increased ventilation. Participants will also receive their own PPE (ex. welding helmet, gloves, glasses, etc) to take home and use in future Foundry classes to reduce shared use of equipment.

Our classes are a great way to learn a skill, have some fun, and get to know more about the great work we do supporting maker education and entrepreneurship.

Youth Programming:

The Foundry is currently conducting limited in-school and afterschool programming. Enrollment for spring programs have passed, but click here to learn more about the programs we offer.

Keep a look out for future emails explaining how you can support our Youth Entrepreneurship students - in June they'll be selling the items they've made through our e-commerce platform.

Makerspace Membership:

Though the makerspaces currently remain closed to members, we are actively planning for re-opening soon. Stay tuned and let us know your interest in joining by emailing [email protected].

Walk-in-Wednesday Tours:

We are not currently scheduling regular in-person tours. but we hope to re-start in the coming months. If you're interested in renting space for your business, email [email protected] to set up an appointment for a tour.

Thank you all for your support and patience. We look forward to seeing you soon.
