The Foundry’s summer program is a hands-on employment opportunity for Buffalo youth, funded through the Mayor’s Summer Youth Internship & Employment Program. Youth placed at The Foundry gain valuable experience in making, entrepreneurship, fabrication, and design—all while working in a dynamic, inclusive makerspace. Through guided projects, mentorship, and skill-building workshops, participants explore career pathways in STEAM, skilled trades, and creative entrepreneurship.

Youth who complete the summer program have opportunities to continue building skills through our school-year programs, including business development, and maker-focused projects.
