This past spring - volunteers helped us install an incredible amount of fencing! We certainly couldn't have done it without the help of volunteers.
There are several other volunteer opportunities we'd like to highlight in case you're looking for ways to get involved:
Volunteer Days: We have great things planned for this summer and fall, so we're hosting a few volunteer days to get cleaned up and organized for our students to have successful, safe and fun experiences with us! Bring gloves if you have them - we will also provide gloves and water. Email [email protected] to RSVP for either date!

July 10th, 12-3pm
August 14th, 9-12pm
Shop Supervisors: We are re-opening our makerspaces in July to all supporters of The Foundry! Our Open Maker Hours will be Mondays 6-9pm and Saturdays 9-1pm. If you are at all skilled in wood, metal, tech or textile and/or are generally a maker - please reach out! We are asking for 1 volunteer shift per month (you select what time and what shop works for you). Your responsibilities will include spreading enthusiasm for making, giving people advice on their projects when they ask and helping people stay safe while using our makerspaces. Email [email protected] if interested.
Garden Volunteers: The Garden Committee is looking for volunteers to water the gardens and help on gardening days. Other gardeners come on Wednesday afternoons, but if you’re looking for flexibility and volunteering on your own time, the committee can set you up with some specific tasks! Email [email protected] to get connected to the garden committee.
You can also keep up with The Foundry on Twitter or Facebook.
