The Foundry has offered innovative hands-on, active-learning opportunities for youth since 2013. Programs have run in all makerspace areas - Technology, Textiles, Metal and Wood. Students develop new skills in our shops and labs. Young people collaborate on interactive projects, master new technologies, deepen important areas of interest, and explore new career possibilities.

Tours - The Foundry hosts tours for elementary, middle and high school students. Visits will be available when we are onsite again, active and open! Schedule a future tour date with us by emailing:

Afterschool & Select Weekends

Programs at The Foundry support computer- assisted-design and making in all four of our makerspaces. Thanks to grant-funding, student groups from Buffalo neighborhoods join us for afterschool classes. Offerings combine art, craft, STEM or STEAM (Science,Technology, Engineering, Art and Math).

Workforce Development Day Programs

Partnering with local schools and agencies, we offer day programs that equip students to build projects for the community. Students explore exciting areas for future career opportunities or fulfill Career Development & Occupational Studies (CDOS) requirements.
