Cancellation Policy

The following reservation and cancellation policy applies to our group classes and safety certification classes. By signing up for a class, you confirm that you have read and accepted the rules and consequences outlined in this policy.

Payment Required to Reserve Class Spot(s): Payment is required at the time of reservation to secure a spot in a class. Please RSVP using the online system and complete your payment with PayPal or a credit card.

Minimum Age: All participants must be 18 or older to join an adult-level class, activity, or demonstration. Minors might be permitted to participate in certain classes and demonstrations if an adult accompanies them. Please contact us by phone or email before registering for a class to confirm if this is an option.

Class Size Requirements:  All class listings show a minimum and maximum size for each class. The class will be canceled if a class does not meet the minimum number of reservations. Participants who have RSVP'd will be notified via email, phone, or text as soon as possible. A refund or credit will be issued accordingly.

Arrival Time and Waiver: Please arrive at least 15 minutes before class starts. All participants must sign a Waiver and Release of Liability before the class begins. If you would like to receive the Release via email in advance, please send us a request. Late arrivals may be denied entrance to the class at the instructor's discretion. They will not be eligible for a refund.

Cancellation Fees:  We understand that last-minute cancellations can occur, but they are costly for us due to material preparations, staffing changes, and the challenges of refilling spots on short notice.

  • Cancellations made up to 8 days BEFORE a class will be subject to a standard 5% refund charge.

  • Cancellations made within 7 days BEFORE class will be subject to a $25 cancellation fee. 

  • Changing your registration to a later listed class date is subject to a $25 class change fee. 

Cancellations with less than 48 hours' notice will NOT receive a refund - We're sorry about the inconvenience.

If you are enrolled in a multi-day class, please note that it is not the instructor's or The Foundry's responsibility to create a make-up day. We ask that you make every effort to attend all scheduled sessions.

Occasionally, circumstances beyond our control may require us to cancel classes, sometimes with little notice. The Foundry will contact all participants via email, phone, and text as quickly as possible. In the event of such a cancellation, The Foundry will provide a full refund and cover all associated cancellation fees.

Weather Cancellation: If a class is canceled due to weather conditions, The Foundry will attempt to reschedule it for a later date. However, participants can opt-out and receive a refund if they are unavailable for the new date. Please note that weather-related cancellations are determined by The Foundry, not by individual participants. Therefore, assume that a class is still taking place as scheduled unless you receive further notification.
