Part-Time Office Manager (posted 10/6/2021)

We are looking for an Office Manager to organize and coordinate administrative duties and office procedures for The Foundry. Your role is to create and maintain a pleasant work environment, ensuring high levels of organizational effectiveness, communication and safety. Responsibilities

Administrative and clerical tasks:

- Managing general email inquiries for the organization
-Creating and maintaining filing systems (contracts, etc)
-Purchasing and ordering materials submitted through online form for classes and makerspaces
-Managing shared calendars (work with Education Director and instructors to list weekly classes in our makerspaces. Coordinating staff to cover classes and weekly tours of The Foundry)
-Utilizing online CRM database on a daily basis to capture key data as appropriate

Communications:

-Creating press-releases when needed (program announcements, ribbon cutting events, etc)
-Updating and maintaining website copy
-Social media communication - scheduling a regular rotation of communication in collaboration with Foundry staff providing content
-Writing and sending e-newsletters related to the marketing of events and programs

Skills:

-Experience as an office manager or administrative assistant
-Knowledge of office administrator responsibilities, systems and procedures
-Proficiency in google workspace is preferable (Google docs, sheets)
-Hands on experience with office machines (e.g. printers/copiers/scanners)
-Familiarity with using a CRM database is a plus -- quick learning of new digital tools could be an equal asset.
-Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
-Attention to detail and problem solving skills
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements
