ABOUT THIS EVENT
The Foundry is a makerspace and business incubator, a place of possibility. If you have a dream, we can help with the skills, tools or space to become entrepreneurs and makers. During these last few months of COVID-19 our students embraced the world of remote learning and our residents continued to run their small businesses with the addition of new safety protocols. While nothing can replace hands-on learning in our makerspaces, we have successfully been able to adapt and forge ahead, building a new future. But we need your help to keep this momentum going.
Now, more than ever, we're asking for your support by joining us (at home!) as we celebrate Bid to Build 2020 @TheFoundry.
Bid to Build 2020 Tickets - CLICK HERE TO PURCHASE!
$50 - includes one maker kit to build together the night of the event & swag bag filled with goodies from our sponsors and supporters.
Step by step, piece by piece, join us from the comfort of your own home (while unwinding and drinking a beverage of your choice) to build a wooden steampunk maker clock! All ages are invited to build with us - little ones, older folks and everyone in between. JUST ONE TICKET allows an unlimited amount of people access to Bid to Build online, the more the merrier!
If you would like to order additional maker kits, they are available to purchase as an add-on with your ticket for $15. In order to ensure the arrival of your maker kit at your home, tickets will be on sale until September 17th.
After we build together, we will kick off our Online Auction filled with gorgeous handmade items by local artisan makers and various WNY businesses.
- LARGE ITEMS such as handmade tables, chairs, sculptures, signs...
- SMALL ITEMS such as stained glass pieces, lanterns, birdhouses and so much more!
Each week in September leading up to Bid to Build we will host Facebook Live demonstrations celebrating the entrepreneurs and makers in our community spaces. Learn more about each of our Foundry makers - what they create and how the Foundry helped to inspire their work.
